Michigan is will forever be home to me no matter how far I move or travel so of course, I know some of the most beautiful corners of it that are the perfect engagement session locations! These are just a handle full of my favorites. They are all different types of scenery and make for some stunning photos. Flushing Park
Beautiful park with lots of pretty trees and it’s even near an ice cream parlor! They also have a dog park if you’re wanting to bring your dog to your engagement session!
Cranbrook Gardens
Cranbrook is huge. It is a beautiful photoshoot location if you’re looking for a classy vibe. This Michigan location is phenomenal. I could go on and on about how much I love it! They have beautiful gardens all over and a beautiful mansion on a hill as well as a long fountain out front.
Flint, Michigan
Flint has a bad rep. It is a great city. You just have to be sure you’re with others and not alone! Downtown flint is such fun. They have old buildings, cafes you can photograph in, and it even has a parking garage you can shoot on top of!
Lake Huron
Lake Huron is incredible. Ever since a child, I have always felt calm by the lake. Engagement photos taken by the Great Lakes is such a classic Michigan couple engagement session. I love getting wet and going into the water with my couples for photos!
Detroit Belle Isle Conservatory
Detroit will never get old. The old beautiful buildings will surround you and give you that city vibe in your photos that you see all on Pinterest Wedding Blogs. There are lots of awesome little corners. I especially love Belle Isle and the conservatory. The plants in the conservatory are all so pretty!
Rochester, Michigan
The cute little shops, cafes, buildings, and the parking garage is perfect for your engagement session. They also have a park nearby! The park has lots of pretty trees.
Dow Gardens
The Dow is awesome and the perfect place for an engagement session! So if you’re a plant-loving couple that is up for adventure The Whiting Forest and Dow Gardens are a perfect place to have your engagement photos taken! It’s about $2-$10 to get in and SO worth it! I love photographing in the canopy!
Holloway Reservoir
The Holloway Reservoir is the perfect mix between a beach and a forest location and it happens to offer both! In the summer the reservoir is a perfect place to have fun, run along the beach, and splash some water during your session.
