Photographing weddings helped heal my mind and self. I truly believe it allowed me to see the good in the world still. It allowed me to see clearly that love, connection, and good people still exist. That it is everywhere and in the hidden moments. I remember one of my first times photographing a first look the groom saw his bride and they both started full-on sobbing with one another. That hit me in the heart like a stab. I was crying too. It was at that moment I realized this is for me. This brings me back to what matters-- Love.
I believe there’s nothing coffee, pickles, the lake, spending time with my lover and family, or my dog (Molly) can’t fix! I love to travel, do yoga, read poetry, write, and listen to live music too.
at the end of our lives we will think of all the big moments we have lived. The good, the bad, the huge and pivotal moments that forever changed us. it honors me to think about how important wedding days are. sometimes i bring myself back to remembering this and feel so grateful.

Weddings helped me to see the spark in human connection again. Family members who lost touch reunite and dance as if time and miles never separated them, your dad dances with your mom (and maybe hasn’t in years), everyone is just so full of joy that they are dancing, laughing, singing, and catching up with relatives.
I capture for the people who cannot attend the celebration and for those who wish to relive it all. I seek the moments that pull you in like the moment after your last dance with your dad when the tears burst out of you or the moment in the night where you have a burst of “Heck yeah, I am married!”
WEDDINGS ARE THIS BEAUTIFUL CELEBRATION THAT BRINGS YOUR CLOSEST PEOPLE TOGETHER TO CELEBRATE LOVE. TO CELEBRATE THE NEW FOUND LOVE, OLD LOVE, AND THE LOVE WE HAVE FOR OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILIES.
I SEARCH THE ROOM FOR LITTLE DETAILS THAT SPEAK VOLUMES IN PHOTOS TO SHOW THIS VERY THING. I LOVE TO PHOTOGRAPH MOMENTS WHEN GRANDMA CLINGS TO GRANDPA DURING THE CEREMONY WHILE SHE SHEDS A TEAR OR THE MOMENT WHEN YOUR MOM CATCHES HERSELF IN THE MIRROR AND REMEMBER THE DAY SHE GOT MARRIED TO YOUR FATHER. I SEEK THE MOMENTS THAT WILL LATER TELL YOUR STORY THROUGH YOUR PHOTOS.
